Top Tips For The Wildlife In Your Garden
As Autumn is gradually creeping towards us. Nick Hamilton, the owner of Barnsdale, has much tried-and-true advice for helping wildlife thrive all year round. His seasonal tips include berry-laden plants like hawthorn and ivy to keep the birds well-fed in winter, and fragrant shrubs such as Sarcococca to give insects a reason to keep buzzing even in the colder months. Bug hotels, mulch, and even rolled-up cardboard can all become cosy hideaways for helpful little creatures.
The message is clear… if you invite wildlife into your garden in spring and summer, don’t forget to keep them comfortable through the winter too. The reward? A joyful, vibrant garden full of life, colour, and pollination power when the warm weather returns.
So, grab your sunhat, bring your curiosity, and get ready to fall in love with Barnsdale’s wild side!
