Lantra sprouting success through ‘quality quartet’
A ‘quality quartet’ of major national events are to leave a lasting legacy and provide building blocks for people to boost their skills and knowledge in the land-based industries after Lantra received a positive response from people wanting to enrol on its courses and learn more about becoming Instructors, Assessors and Providers.
Four annual UK events, which showcase the best in the British land-based sector, will help people to foster futures in the land-based sector and support their Continual Professional Development (CPD) through Lantra accredited Learner and career-building opportunities which took centre stage at the events.
The recent Arb Show, which featured at the prestigious APF Exhibition, the British National Ploughing Championships & Country Festival, SALTEX and PestTech all proved smash hits for Lantra – with many people expressing an interest in Lantra Training and Instructor opportunities.
At the Arb Show, 12 existing Instructors expressed an interest in branching out and instructing in new skills.
Lantra, as exhibitors at the event, also received around more than 20 new enquiries from people interested in becoming Lantra Instructors in Forestry and Arboriculture.
This encouraging trend was also witnessed at the British National Ploughing Championships & Country Festival, with a healthy number of enquiries from people interested in developing their skills or learning more about existing route maps to become Learners, Instructors, Assessors and Providers.
And, this picture was also repeated at the hugely successful SALTEX 2022 exhibition, which welcomed more than 8,300 visitors to the Birmingham NEC and PestTech 2022, held in Milton Keynes.
Stephen Roberts, Head of Instructor Network at Lantra, said: “These superb annual events are firmly in Lantra’s diary each year as they give us a fantastic opportunity to showcase our courses, commitment to CPD and industry, and also our efforts and qualifications designed to ensure people work productively, legally and safely.
“As the first guest speaker at the Arb Show, it was great to kick-start the event by talking about Lantra’s course range and paths whereby people can start or mould their training journeys to go on to potentially become Instructors, Providers and Assessors.
“Following two difficult Covid pandemic years, it is great to see the huge success of these events first-hand and be part of that.
David Fisher, Head of Industry Partnerships (Landscape & Rural), said: “We received an amazing response from visitors at these events and we are already looking forward to 2023.
“At SALTEX alone we received six new enquiries from people interested in becoming Instructors and we had a great response to our new Landscape Multi-tools course which we were proud to launch at the event.
“PestTech provided us with an excellent opportunity to talk about the latest developments in legislation in the pest control industry and how Lantra is listening to the industry and responding to these changes.
“It was great to have a Lantra presence at these events and meet with existing Instructors, Learners, Assessors and Providers – and potentially meet, what could be, Instructors, Learners, Assessors and Providers of the future.”
