The day included a line-up of presentations, inspirational speakers within the sector and Q&As covering mental health challenges in the industry, environmental changes, business recruitment, staff retention, personal development and more.
George Davies, founder and managing director of George Davies Turf said: “There’s no question our industry is shifting due to a number of external challenges such as climate change, recruitment and skills shortages and even mental health, so we were blown away by the success of this event which was all about these usually unspoken about topics.
“We don’t just provide a great product and first-class turf as a business, we want to educate and inspire our customers too, so we were thrilled to be able to run the event on behalf and in partnership with BALI. It was very thought-provoking, and many people took away ideas, tips and actions which they can put in place in their businesses.”

The event was capped at one hundred attendees due to capacity on the George Davies Turf farm, so organisers were thrilled with the unprecedented turnout.
Francesca Bienek, BALI Regional Support Officer and Richard Kay, BALI National Chair 2020-2022 and BALI Chalk Fund Trustee Chair also delivered talks and presentations.
