BBC Gardeners’ World Events announces 2023 events
BBC Gardeners’ World Events promises a line-up of 2023 calendar dates to inspire keen gardeners, plant enthusiasts and those new to gardening across the UK, with tickets on sale now.
Marking the start of the 2023 gardening season with its brighter days, bulbs, buds and blossom is the BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair at Beaulieu in the New Forest, home of the National Motor Museum, from 28-30 April. With a focus on seasonal plants, fresh ideas and preparations for the gardening year ahead, Spring Fair highlights include Showcase Gardens, Beautiful Borders and the BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine Stage where special guests including Frances Tophill and Adam Frost join the editors to share advice for ‘what to do now’ in the garden. Headline partner, Hillier, will present a stunning walk-through ‘secret garden’ feature along with one-to-one advice and a large retail area. Visitors can join a tour of Beaulieu’s gardens with plant experts Lucy Chamberlain, Saul Walker and Beaulieu Head Gardener, Kelvin Yapp, as well as enjoy workshops, shopping, and delicious food and drink at the BBC Good Food Market. Tickets include access to Beaulieu’s stunning grounds, gardens and attractions, including the National Motor Museum, Palace House and the Little Beaulieu adventure play area.

The flagship BBC Gardeners’ World Live opens at the NEC Birmingham from 15-18 June 2023. The four-day celebration of summer gardening takes place at the height of the season as gardens are bursting with colour and scent. Highlights include spectacular Show Gardens by award-winning designers and landscape teams, and inspiring Beautiful Borders packed with take-home ideas for small or challenging spaces, plus headline sponsor Lexus will return with a new garden feature. An extensive Floral Marquee and Plant Village will feature breathtaking displays and plants to buy from specialist growers and leading nurseries, including new plant launches, as well as hundreds of exhibitors of gardening kit, tools and accessories. Vistors will glean a wealth of seasonal gardening advice with practical demos and talks from the UK’s favourite gardening presenters and BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine editors, one-to-one advice and the opportunity to join Garden Walks and Plant Expert Tours. A schools wheelbarrow competition, live entertainment and delicious food and drink add to the day out, plus a Club Lounge for BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine Subscribers.
Tickets for BBC Gardeners’ World Live include entry to the BBC Good Food Show Summer, the ultimate foodies’ day out and a celebration of seasonal summer food, featuring favourite TV chefs and experts, theatres, stages and talks, tastings and workshops, food, drink and shopping. As summer fades into mellow autumn with its rich colours, leaves, berries and abundant produce for harvest, September brings the BBC Gardeners’ World Autumn Fair at Audley End House and Gardens, Essex, from 1-3 September, in association with English Heritage. With the theme of preparing gardens for colder months, Autumn Fair highlights include Beautiful Borders featuring autumn planting, plants to browse and buy, plant expert tours of Audley End’s Kitchen Garden and ornamental gardens, the BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine Stage featuring practical plant tips and seasonal ‘grow your own’ advice from special guests, entertaining ‘In Conversation’ talks in the Parterre gardens, mushroom-growing workshops, shopping, live entertainment, and food and drink at the BBC Good Food Market. Tickets include full access to Audley End House, grounds and gardens.
