Henchman extends Topiary Awards 2025: Henchman Topiary Awards 2025 invite professionals from Europe to this year’s competition for the first time.

The Topiary Awards features two categories, best professional topiary and best home garden creation, each will have a UK and European winner.

Winners will receive a Henchman ladder of their choice, and will be announced at RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival on Saturday 5th July 2025.

Owen Simpson, managing director at Henchman comments:“The incredible passion and talent we saw in last year’s competition inspired us to expand the awards into Europe.”

Harrie Carnochan from West Sussex won first place in the professional gardener category, and David Hawson from Aberdeenshire won the home gardener category in last year’s competition.

Judges include the return of Andy Bourke ‘The Hedge Barber’, and Michael Buck, head of horticulture at Creepers Nursery. They are joined by new faces Petra Hoyer Miller, editor of The Dirt News, and Patrick Salembier, president of EBTS France and runner up in last year’s home gardener category.

Submissions for this year’s competition opened on 20 March and close on 21 May 2025.
