Husqvarna introduces brand-new range of climbing gear for tree care professionals

Husqvarna, the pioneer of industry-changing innovations within forestry and arboriculture, today introduces a new range of climbing gear specifically designed for arborists and other tree care professionals.

Available later this year, the gear aims to improve climbing and rigging, featuring a climbing harness and ropes designed in partnership with Teufelberger, a world leader in climbing gear equipment. Husqvarna has also created a new storage bag that makes it easy to organise and bring the equipment wherever it’s needed. Together, these new products will simplify the life of arborists and tree care professionals when working with chainsaws.

Developed with an understanding of the needs of arborists, the new harness in the product portfolio has been designed for tree-climbers who spend many hours in the trees and are looking for a versatile, adjustable, robust and extremely comfortable piece of equipment. The harness provides world-class mobility and comfort while helping reduce the risk of injuries and physical stress when working long hours up in the trees. A wide range of settings also allow climbers to customise the harness to different climbing styles and jobs.

To complement the harness, Husqvarna will also offer two sets of high-quality climbing ropes approved according to both CE and ANSI standards. They are versatile for different rope techniques and super smooth during both ascent and descent.

Husqvarna’s new gear bag will help with storing, organising and protecting the climbing and rigging gear. The user-friendly and durable bag is made of high-quality fabric and can fit 70L. It includes a reinforced bottom, a helmet storage lid at the top and side zippers. Users will have easy access to all their gear and can carry it with them in all weather conditions, making their work both easier and more efficient.

In addition to the ropes, harness and bag, Husqvarna also offers other, new climbing and rigging equipment that make life easier for tree professionals. This includes a chainsaw strap with an anti-shock feature that reduces the impact if the chainsaw gets caught in a falling branch or on other objects. It also includes a sling, a work positioning lanyard, rigging rope, a friction saver and accessory carabiners.

“Our arborist equipment is made of the highest quality and covers the many needs for climbing and rigging. We will introduce a range of purpose-made ropes with dimensions and colors that suit a broad group of professionals. While this is our first entry into this segment, our long-term goal is to offer revolutionary equipment for arborists and tree care professionals”, said Hannah Cooper, Professional Segment Manager, at Husqvarna UK.

Husqvarna’s current climbing gear offering includes a climbing harness, climbing rope (11.5 mm and 11.8 mm), rigging rope, gear bag, work position lanyard, friction saver, sling, prusik, and chainsaw strap.

Husqvarna’s new climbing gear will go on sale in the third quarter of 2022. For more information on Husqvarna and its new product innovations, visit www.husqvarna.com/uk.
