Gardens in seven of the categories will now be entered into the People’s Choice Award which is open for votes via the SGD website on 1st October 2023 for one month. The same finalists will also be competing for the highly coveted Grand Award, which will be decided by the judging panel. To see images of all the shortlisted gardens visit the SGD website.
Lynne Marcus MSGD, Chair of the SGD Awards, said: “The SGD Awards 2024 shortlist illustrates why garden design matters to all of us. Each and every one of the nominated projects demonstrate creativity, passion and dedication to our craft and are not only beautiful, but provide important environmental benefits and enhance the quality of life for the people using them.
“Whether a tiny urban garden, a community space or a large public garden, these projects offer thoughtful, creative responses and are testament to the skill, artistry and commitment to sustainability being brought to bear on the industry today. I am thrilled to see such talent and congratulate everyone shortlisted.”
In addition to the shortlisted gardens, three products have also been nominated for the brand new Sustainable Product of the Year Award, open to the Society of Garden Designers’ Affiliated Business Partners for the first time this year.
