Thompson’s – one of the leading waterproofing brands in the UK and Ireland – has revealed new packaging across its full product portfolio that perfectly reflects its history and heritage, as well as new formulations for its renowned patio sealant range.

First launched in 1929, the packaging refresh celebrates this heritage by re-designing the original logo and re-instating Geocel’s brand character, Addis the Seal – demonstrating the brand’s tenacity and reliability throughout the years. With each range incorporating its own brand-new colourway, the new packaging design also enables much easier product identification and selection on store shelves.

As well as the new packaging design, Thompson’s has reformulated three of its patio sealing products – arguably some of the most popular from its portfolio: One Coat Patio & Block Paving Seal, Wet Look Patio & Block Paving Seal and Satin Patio & Block Paving Seal. Transitioning from solvent-based to water-based, the new formulations offer faster drying times, easier clean-up and low odour, as well as being better for the environment – great news for contractors and customers alike.

The R&D team has also updated the Thompson’s Patio & Block Paving Cleaner. Re-engineered with the latest generation surfactants, the more powerful formulation can clean, revive and protect patios in minutes.

Officially launched at InstallerSHOW 2026, it was received with an overwhelming positive reaction from both new and existing customers and visitors to the show. The surprise launch meant that the team were on hand to answer any questions, discussing all things from design improvements to the science of the formulation updates.
