WLA Awards 2026 shortlist revealed

The 2026 World Landscape Architecture Awards has unveiled the shortlist for both professional and student awards.

The 2026 WLA Professional Awards received over 275 entries across 16 categories from landscape architecture firms worldwide, which opened in January.

The jury, featuring eight judges including Niels de Bruin, senior landscape architect and head of landscape architecture at Kragh & Berglund and Kate Larsen, director at Snøhetta, has chosen shortlisted projects from across over 25 countries.

The 2026 WLA Student Awards received over 130 entries in total from more than 20 countries. Submitted by students and academics, the projects were judged across three categories. The jury included four judges, including Yadan Luo, lecturer and director and Dr Anastasia Nikologianni, research fellow at Birmingham City University and director of the Young Landscape Architects and Emerging Professionals IFLA World.

Winners will be announced during a ceremony on 21 July 2026.
