Developed in collaboration with Plastic Guys, Mínus is made from repurposed fishing nets, keyboards, refrigerators and televisions to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. It is currently featured on mmcité’s Morse, Morse Dot and Orbit collections.

“Recycled plastic has earned its place in our material palette alongside metal, concrete, and wood. We’ve been searching for a truly circular alternative—one that gives new life to materials otherwise discarded,” says David Karásek, CEO and lead designer at mmcité.

“Developing and testing Material Mínus with mmcité took over a year, and today we know it’s built to last through every season,” adds Ondřej Venclík from Plastic Guys.

“We’re now scaling up production to create the largest recycled plastic panels in the world—panels that remain repeatedly recyclable. This breakthrough ensures long-term sustainability and makes Mínus a cost-competitive alternative to conventional materials.”
