Full job description

We are looking for an EXPERIENCED landscaper to join our existing team ! _ we are losing one of our team members and there are big boots to fill – IS THAT YOU?!!

– YOU WILL BE WORKING AS PART OF A SUPER, ENTHUSIATIC , HARDWORKING , CONSCIENTIOUS AND LOYAL TEAM – working in some beautiful settings.

We need someone who is happy, at times, to work away from home for up to four nights a week for planned periods of the year. ( about 10 weeks a year- never over a weekend )

The rest of the year you would be working locally ( up to 1.5 hours from our base in Harleston) on amazing landscaping projects ( building swimming ponds, natural ponds, large terraces, planting hedging , erecting garden walls and fencing etc) – We pay you for every minute of your time once you arrive at our base and until you return to our base.

• You would need to get to our base in Harleston by 6/6.30am most mornings,
• You would be contracted to a 47.5 hour week ( WHICH INCLUDES A HALF HOUR PAID LUNCHBREAK EACH DAY) but with the expectation that some overtime is also worked when the weather is being kind –
• NO WEEKEND WORK.( ever ever ever!!! other than sometimes going away to accommodation on a Sunday night if you are working away – but this will be paid at time and a half very rare and negotiable!)
• Having a clean driving license is a NECESSITY and being able to drive our Company vehicles IS REQUIRED. ( over 25 ) there MAY BE A company vehicle attached to this post for the right person.
• Some working away from home is expected with this role.
• Being able to use/drive large machinery in a safe way is vital to this role.

In return for being employed as a SKILLED LANDSCAPER we will

• Pay you as well as we can -( top hourly rate in this area )
• Offer you 20 annual leave days plus bank holidays ( but this will increase every two years to a maximum of 28 days plus bank holidays )
• give you a ‘wellbeing day’ each year – paid and up to you how you spend it!
• Give you your birthday off each year if it falls on a working day as our gift to you.( again fully paid)
• Allow some flexibility within your working week if required.
• Provide online and onsite training.
• Provide all your PPE and much of your work clothing.
• Pay you for your lunch break !
• Pay for all of your base to site travel ( time and half when travelling to work away)
