Birkdale introduces FENCEMATE® Sleeper Pin: Birkdale has introduced its new FENCEMATE® Sleeper Pin to provide trade professionals with a durable, pre-galvanised option when securing and mounting timber railway sleepers; now a regular feature in UK gardens. Whether creating pathways, raised beds or retaining walls, the sleeper pin is an easy way to ensure reliable support.
The new FENCEMATE® Sleeper Pins are designed for swift installation and come in a 440mm length. Simply drive the stake into the ground where the sleeper will be placed using a rubber mallet or club hammer with a timber block, to protect the pin’s striking surfaces. Finish by screwing the bracket onto the single or double-layer timber sleeper that you would like to connect. Birkdale would recommend installing approximately one pin for every one metre along the sleeper run for optimal support.
