Birkdale releases FENCEMATE® Repair Spur

Birkdale releases FENCEMATE® Repair Spur: Birkdale, the UK’s leading supplier of fencing and gate accessories, has released its FENCEMATE® Repair Spur in a new 1.2m length. The 1.2m repair spur provides enhanced stability, making it particularly well-suited for fence post repairs in exposed locations. The extra length ensures robust support, especially when dealing with challenging ground conditions.

Manufactured from 2.5mm hot-dip galvanised cold-rolled steel to provide high corrosion resistance, the FENCEMATE® Repair Spur offers a strong and reliable solution. When trade professionals are faced with ground level cracks and breaks in 3” and 4” timber fence posts, the spur provides a practical solution due to its unique metal profile and varied hole spacing to provide flexibility when fixing the repair. Additionally, the spur can flex to absorb the load, while a slimline profile makes it easier to dig around and secure to the post.

The FENCEMATE® Repair Spur is user friendly and can be installed by following a simple three-step process. Firstly, dig a 500mm hole next to the fence post that needs support. Next, place the FENCEMATE® Repair Spur in the hole, secure with suitable fixings and finish off with post concrete, ensuring the fence post is upright.

John Abernethie, Managing Director at Birkdale commented: “At Birkdale, our products are trusted by a range of suppliers, merchants, and homeowners, making them the ideal, reliable fit for any garden. The spurs are the perfect lightweight alternative to concrete spurs meaning that they are easier to install, as well as being compatible with a range of our different nuts and screws. This new longer length spur is a great addition to the FENCEMATE® range.”
