Flourishing artists & gardens combine at Barnsdale
Art and beautiful gardens are natural partners and at Barnsdale Gardens in Rutland this month both can be enjoyed.
As Claude Monet once famously said “My garden is my most beautiful masterpiece“, and who are we to disagree?
Barnsdale Gardens heads into the autumn with a September spectacular of art exhibitions and demonstrations. Rutland Open Studios is a flourishing community of artists, crafts people and designers working throughout Rutland and surrounding counties. Their aim is to help bring artists and local people together.
Local artist Dawn Wright will be exhibiting in Barnsdale’s garden studio whilst demonstrating her work. Dawn is well known for her vibrant depictions of all that nature offers. She is an active member of the Society of Botanical Artists, a member of the Northamptonshire Botanical Artists’ Society, the Eden Project Florilegium Society, the Association of Botanical Artists and the American Society of Botanical Artists.
You will be able to enjoy all the Rutland Open Studios has to offer on September 9th-10th,16th-17th and 23rd-24th from 10am to 4pm. Whilst entry to Open Studios is free, via a separate entrance, there is still the usual entry fee for visiting the gardens.
