Cherrywood Primary School in Farnborough has been selected to receive £1,500 in contribution to its new sensory garden. Judges praised the project as “well thought-out and sure to make a big difference”.

The Abbey School in Farnham will receive £1,000 for its ‘seed to plate’ vegetable garden giving the children an opportunity to grow, harvest and cook their own food.

Judges called the project “a fantastic way to engage young people in nature and healthy living”.

South Farnborough Junior School has been awarded £500 to create raised beds and composting areas with the children, as the judges loved seeing a project put in the pupils’ hands.

Jo Holtom, business partner at Kebur Garden Materials says she is “proud to play a part in helping these projects grow,” adding:

“These schools are creating spaces that not only look beautiful, but bring children closer to nature, support wellbeing, and encourage lifelong skills.”
