Rain Bird shows new irrigation technology at GaLaBau

Rain Bird is exhibiting at GaLaBau, the international trade fair for the design and installation of urban, green and open spaces held at the Exhibition Centre, Nuremberg, Germany 14-17 September 2022. Rain Bird GmbH (Stand 4-127)  is exhibiting a number of new, innovative irrigation products including controllers and flow sensors which are designed to underline the company’s commitment to the Intelligent use of Water™.

The latest addition to the range is the RC2 smart irrigation screenless control solution which enables irrigation installations to be controlled from any location. Quick Pair Technology enables seamless Bluetooth set-up with a mobile phone or tablet and the Rain Bird App enables WiFi access for irrigation scheduling, real-time alerts, and automatic weather adjustments which are all designed to save water and money.

The latest LXME 2 commercial controller is fully modular offering flexible features and is ideal for both new installations and retrofit applications. With its large backlit LCD screen and simplified programming, users can customize station capacity from 12 to 48 stations and also to upgrade to the PRO version which gives access to additional features including advanced flow management capabilities.

Aside from controllers, Rain Bird will also highlight new flow sensor technology with the new cost-effective and easy-to-install FG100 Flow Sensor. Designed for residential and smaller commercial applications, it monitors irrigation for high or low flow, instantly identifying when there is a leak or line break. Information is fed back to the ESP-ME3 controller and enables remedial action to be taken immediately and remotely through the Rain Bird App. The FG 100 design includes a paddle wheel that sits in ceramic bearings which gives durability and also does not need to be removed during the annual shutdown when using air to push water out of the system.

Contractors, landscaping professionals, architects and specifiers from federal, state and local authorities visiting the Rain Bird stand will have the opportunity to find out more about Rain Bird’s development of innovative irrigation technology designed to help all sectors of the landscaping industry to achieve its own water efficiency goals.
