The We Care That You Care promotion continues
The We Care That You Care promotion continues: The STIGA team are proud to announce that they have donated a number of products to Galley Hill Community Gardening Group through their We Care That You Care campaign!
The Galley Hill Neighbourhood Group was formed in 2021 and entered the It’s Your Neighbourhood competition run by Thames & Chiltern in Bloom. Keeping to their principal two beliefs – sustainability & community, they did everything keeping those in mind. Since this year they have changed the group name to Galley Hill Community Gardening Group, as it better reflects not just their community but also the wider group.
Their aim for the coming year:
1. Expand the court allotments (all produce is for the residents of that court & excess for food bank.
2. Replace the current street planters with reclaimed wooden bigger ones
3. Plant the four magnolia trees in our court
4. Plant up a unused patch of wide grass verge for bees & butterflies & wildlife & wildflowers
5. If & when possible get some high viz jackets for our volunteers with the logos of all our supporters.
The Galley Hill Community Gardening Group team received the following products:
Anu Chundur, from the Galley Hill Community Gardening Group team said, “It was wonderful to meet Jack and to receive the generous donations made to our community gardening group by STIGA – Christmas has come early! We all had a great time trying the various m/cs out and I’m so impressed by two things. All the batteries are interchangeable and everything has a 5yr warranty. Jack spent a lot of time going through all the tools and fortunately was able to eat some stuff before leaving for Venice – what an amazing place to have an office!!! “
The ‘We Care, That You Care’ campaign embodies the STIGA passion for nature and the pledge towards a more sustainable future. The goal? To support 90 community garden groups throughout the UK, honouring each year of the 90th anniversary, by empowering others with innovative, eco-friendly garden products.
