The prestigious Green Flag Award is the international quality mark for parks and green spaces. This year, idverde’s managed sites have shone brightly, with several new awards and the retention of existing accolades.

New Green Flag Awards

idverde is pleased to share that the following sites have been awarded the Green Flag for the first time:

  • Dothill and Shawbirch Local Nature Reserve
  • Hartshill Park
  • Dale End Park
  • Dawley Park

Retained Green Flag Awards

We are also proud to announce the retention of Green Flag awards for:

  • Telford Town Park
  • Bowring Park
  • Apley Woods Local Nature Reserve
  • Queen’s Park
  • Jephson Gardens

These parks will undergo a mystery shop this year to ensure ongoing compliance with the award’s high standards.

Furthermore, Bramshall Park and Stapenhill Gardens have once again met the rigorous criteria required for the Green Flag award. The positive feedback from judges highlights the dedication and hard work of the idverde team, East Staffs, and our community partners. Achieving and maintaining the Green Flag standard demonstrates the exemplary maintenance and team collaboration throughout the year.

Community Green Flag for The Forest Road Green Belt

Another notable success is The Forest Road Green Belt, which has retained its Community Green Flag for 2024/2025. During the full Green Flag judging in May, Judge Tim Crawford praised the collaborative efforts between CBC, idverde, Serco, and The Forest Road Green Belt Gardeners. He remarked, “Forest Road Green Belt was a lovely site to visit and well worthy of its Community Green Flag award. The site’s overall success is very much down to everybody working together and sharing a joint goal. The reward is the retention of the Green Flag.”

Achievements in West Northamptonshire

Adding to the list of accolades, Bradlaugh Fields and Abington Park under the care of West Northamptonshire Council, have also been honoured with Green Flag awards. Nicola Clarke, Community Engagement Manager, expressed her gratitude: “I would like to thank everyone involved for all their hard work throughout the year to make the park look so good and a pleasure for the public to visit.”

Celebrating Success and Looking Forward

idverde’s success in securing these Green Flag Awards is a reflection of the company’s unwavering dedication to environmental stewardship, community engagement, and the creation of spaces that are not only beautiful but also beneficial for wildlife and the public.

As idverde continues to uphold and exceed these standards, the company looks forward to further enhancing green spaces across the UK, fostering environments where nature and communities thrive together.
