Mowers expand Bobcat Garden & Landscaping Solutions
Mowers expand Bobcat Garden & Landscaping Solutions: Last year, Bobcat introduced the first models of the company’s new mower line for the European market.
With the latest additions, the line now offers a selection of four ride-on mowers, a stand-on mower and a walk-behind mower providing a choice of both entry-level commercial and professional models.
Not only do these mowers grow the new Ground Maintenance Equipment (GME) range from Bobcat, they also complement the existing flail mowers and brush cutters that are part of the large Bobcat range of attachments for use on the company’s mini-excavators and wheeled and track loaders.
With its compact machines, the extensive line of attachments and the mowers and its rebranded Ryan turf renovation products in the GME range, Bobcat now offers a complete suite of product solutions for gardeners and landscapers to deal with every type of situation from manicuring the finest gardens and lawns to dealing with the thickest vegetation and areas of undergrowth.
Bobcat’s mower line includes four zero-turn ride-on mowers, the ZT2000, ZT3000, ZT3500 and ZT6000. Whether you are a contractor or a municipality, Bobcat mowers empower users to get more done in less time, thanks to their superior mowing speed, outstanding manoeuvrability and agility on the job site. This is all thanks to the zero-turn concept – which enables the operator to move around the lawn with precision and confidence, easily avoiding obstacles like trees or poles.
Bobcat zero-turn ride-on mowers are powered by Kawasaki engines from 16-24 HP and have hydrostatic transaxles. The ZT2000 can be equipped with 122 cm (48 inch) and 132 cm (52 inch) TufDeck Pro cutting systems and has a maximum mowing speed of 11 km/h. The ZT3000 can be equipped with 122 cm (48 inch), 132 cm (52 inch) or 155 cm (61 inch) TufDeck Pro cutting systems and has a maximum mowing speed of 12.8 km/h.
The ZT3500 zero-turn ride-on mower also has Hydro-Gear transaxles and reaches a speed of up to 16 km/h. This mower offers optimal comfort thanks to the comfortable, mechanically suspended seat; even on uneven terrain. It is also equipped with a ROPS construction, two fuel tanks and a durable TufDeck Pro mowing system.
The ZT6000 can be equipped with 132 cm (52 inch) or 155 cm (61 inch) AirFX cutting systems and has a maximum mowing speed of 19.3 km/h. The ZT6000 provides an easy ride thanks to the 4400 drive system that minimizes vibration and noise, giving the operator even more comfort and control.
The ZS4000 stand-on zero-turn mower offers excellent visibility of the job site and can quickly manoeuvre around trees and flowerbeds at a speed of 16.8 km/h. The ZS4000 mower has a 20 or 24 HP FT series Kawasaki engine and hydrostatic transaxles. The mower can be equipped with 122 cm (48 inch), 132 cm (52 inch) or 155 cm (61 inch) heavy-duty AirFX decks which feature Air-Gap baffles for improved airflow and solid steel axles. The ZS4000 can easily cut through tough and tall grass thanks to an innovative technology that pushes the grass towards the cutting blade.
The WB700 walk-behind mower is equipped with a strong, hydraulic drive, which means that mowing requires little force and protects the lawn. With the WB700 it is possible to mow accurately around obstacles and along walls and fences. The mower has a Kawasaki 15.0 or 18.5 HP FS series engine, which allows a speed of up to 10.5 km/h. The WB700 can be equipped with 122 cm (48 inch) or 132 cm (52 inch) TufDeck cutting systems with steel blades.
The mowers all have typical Bobcat features, such as high productivity and a long service life. Special attention has been paid to robust, durable construction and easy maintenance, so that the machines can always be used. Thanks to the wide wheelbase and a low centre of gravity, the machines are very stable on all types of terrain. And of course they deliver a perfect mowing result. Several configurations are available for the mowers with different cutting decks, shredding and collection systems and safety features.
Bobcat is world famous for its extensive range of attachments, which also gives landscapers a wide arsenal of tools at their disposal. This includes a number of robust, self-levelling flail mowers. There are two models, the SL FM 60 and SL FM 85, suitable for use on Bobcat mini-excavators in the range from 1.7 to 3.5 tonne.
The SL FM 60 is equipped with 32 cutting knives, has a cutting width of 60 cm and a hydraulic flow of 16-38 l/min. The SL FM 85, which can be equipped with hammer or cutting flails, has a cutting width of 85 cm and a hydraulic flow of 36-70 l/min. A unique feature of the flail mowers is a drum brake circuit that stops the attachment within 12 seconds. For extra safety, the flail mowers are also equipped with wear-resistant guards to divert debris. The flail mowers are very suitable for mowing grass and shrubs on uneven terrain where other mowers do not function optimally. They have rollers so that they can accurately follow the contours of the soil.
Two brush cutter attachments are available for use on Bobcat compact loaders. The Brushcat has a rotating mower, which makes it easy to remove tough grasses, shrubs and undergrowth in difficult terrain. With the brush cutter, shrubs and other vegetation can be removed quickly and easily; for example for creating firebreaks, clearing fields and making paths. The brush cutter can cut slightly below ground level so that it does not leave stumps behind. The steel grilles protect the driver against flying debris.
Another option for Bobcat compact loaders is the flail mower attachment, which can follow the soil profile well thanks to the floating suspension and compact deck length. The tailgate is adjustable so the operator can vary the size of material ejected from fine to coarse. The full-width tapered rear roller provides better turning ability.
